SNOWY RED is an experience of MICKY MIKE (ex-CHAINSAW, first belgian Punk band) started in october 1980 trying to proove it was possible to release a full Album with some synths, a 12/2 mixing console, a 2 tracks recorder and some basic effects. Experience achieved, album was released in 1981 and got good critics from belgian and abroad press. The release was followed by live gigs which were different from the traditional rock concert. Micky Mike was alone on stage with pre recorded tapes with slides and polaroids shows. Two Mudra (Béjart School) dancers were also part of the show.

The second album (THE RIGHT TO DIE-february 1982) recorded on a 8 tracks confirmed the achievement : Live in UK, Germany en Netherlands, good reviews from THE MELODY MAKER and VINYL. Dancers didn't appear anymore in the new show and slideshows were replaced by movie projection during the whole show.

In march 1983, Paul DELNOY (ex-Marine)(keyboards,brass,bass) and Nicky MONO (vocals), followed by two members of MARINE and DIGITAL DANCE: Stéphane BARBERY (guitar) and Robert LEFF (drums), joined MICKY MIKE to set up a real band. A step forwardfor the band. Besides the new album "VISION", the band set up an ambitious videoshow (IMAGE VIDEO Co-production) during the live performance.
New sound and image technics, special effects were especially made to release the VIDEO-ALBUM "VISION" recorded in the same studio of TUXEDOMOON friends.

There is a compilation of these three first albums inclusing the singles called "The Compilation 1980-84"(ANTLER Records 1988)

In 1988, SNOWY RED is back in the original setup, Micky Mike alone, to release the new album (THE BEAT IS OVER) and starts a european tour with A'GRUMH and SKINNY PUPPY and some shows in Québec.
In the meantime, an extract of the second album is re-released as a single and became a huge hit : EUROSHIMA (WARDANCE)

Micky decided in 1990 to put SNOWY RED in stand-by and to start other projects, produce other artists and to start a band called INVADERS FROM MARS with friends, HH DEL RIO (guitar), Paul ZAHL (TUXEDOMOON) and Karine SANTANIELLO (PRAGAH KHAN). These activities brought him to the 21st Century.

Why is SNOWY RED back after all these years ? 'Christiaan Ophalvens of the Brussels radio station FM BRUSSEL 106.5 played the SNOWY RED releases in his program "DARKWAVES" and the public reaction was so enthusiastic that I thought it was time to call back my friend HH DEL RIO and to resurect SNOWY RED
